Day 6

The Pharisees and Sadducees came and, testing Him, asked Him to show them a sign from heaven.’ Matthew 16:1

First, the Word of God and let what it says be fulfilled, for that is fulfilling all righteousness, then, based on a relationship, signs and wonders. The primary thing is to know God intimately.

‘Then Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” But when Jesus perceived it, He said to them, “O you of little faith, why reason among yourselves, that it is because you have brought no bread? ‘ Matthew 16:6,8

Yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees is what I call Google knowledge. No benefit for it will only lead to there being little to no faith.

“However, lest we offend them, go to the sea and cast a hook, and take the first fish that comes up. And when you open its mouth, you will find a coin. Take it and give it to them for you and Me.”” Matthew 17:27 MEV

There is more to “offence” than what I understand. Meditation on the scriptures concerning this required.

““But whoever misleads one of these little ones who believe in Me, it would be better for him to have a millstone hung about his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.” Matthew 18:6 MEV

Fear of God will serve well those who minister the Gospel.

“For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.” Matthew 18:11 MEV

Knowing who are truly lost requires divine wisdom. For some may seem haughty, while others may appear cold, and we could be fooled by those, including us, who are emotionally needy.

“So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” Matthew 18:14MEV

Therefore, to do His will, we must actively seek those who are lost and perishing. Reminded of the vision I has about saving sheep in danger, obviously lost, but totally unaware of the hidden death.

“For where two or three are assembled in My name, there I am in their midst.”” Matthew 18:20 MEV

Unity. There was unity also in the upper room. God works in unity. Therefore we gather together, remove that which is of the world that disunites, both inwardly and outwardly. Praise, worship, Word.

“When he began to settle the accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.” Matthew18:24 MEV

Settle accounts at the end, accountable to Jesus for everything He has given us. Tools for the trade and for our enjoyment and pleasure. Use it or loose it.

““So also My heavenly Father will do to each of you, if from your heart you do not forgive your brother for his trespasses.”” Matthew 18:35 MEV

Over and over the principle of forgiving is taught as vital to our covenant with God. Jesus forgave those who caused Him to shed blood, and it is His blood through which the new covenant exists, through which we stand forgiven by God.
