Genesis 20:3,6 NKJV
But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, “Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife.” [6] And God said to him in a dream, “Yes, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart. For I also withheld you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not let you touch her.
God came… this tells me that no matter how hollow we are, God will not abandon us. Proverbs tell us that when we are right with God, He makes even our enemies be at peace with us.
Integrity… Above all, I make sure that I safeguard myself every day with :
- Fear of the Lord.
- Humility.
- Integrity.
- Holiness.
- Uprightness.
As it says in verse six, the Lord sees the integrity of my heart, therefore He will warn me about sinning against Him, furthermore, He will guide me on how to make things right.
