Day 47

The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise, the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 1 Corinthians 7:4 MEV

It is good to remember this always.

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband. Otherwise, your children would be unclean. But now they are holy. 1 Corinthians 7:14 MEV

The principle upon which sanctification works, but salvation is individual not automatic. One is natural, the other is eternal.

Let each man remain in the same condition in which he was called. 1 Corinthians 7:20 MEV

Even today I find gentiles who accept Christ wanting to be Jews, with some falsely believing that this is the only way to achieve sanctification.

But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him. 1 Corinthians 8:3 MEV

God knows who really loves Him.

But take heed, lest by any means this liberty of yours becomes a stumbling block to those who are weak. Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I cause my brother to stumble. 1 Corinthians 8:9, 13 MEV

I did not think this way at all before meeting Jesus, but this aligns with living for the salvation of others; living for Jesus Christ. I’m fully aware that unselfishness does not come easily to me, but I know the Lord will help me, and I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.

In the same way, the Lord has ordained that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel. 1 Corinthians 9:14 MEV

The Lord convinced me of why this is so, especially given that I am prone to my footsteps slipping, and as I follow this principle, I see the Lord blessing those who help me preach without compromise the good news about Jesus Christ.

What is my reward then? Truly that when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, so that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel. 1 Corinthians 9:18 MEV

Amen.

To the weak, I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. This I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might partake of it with you. 1 Corinthians 9:22-23 MEV

Indeed, to be guided by the Holy Spirit to become all things to all humanity, without compromising, for the gospel’s sake.
