The Supernatural Life

A sermon by Preethy Kurian automatically transcribed by Resolve's Neural Engine.

See, sometimes in our lives we do need breakthroughs. We need God to come, we need God to do amazing things for us. And for me, some things that I declare, like we did the declaration here, some of the things that I declare over my life is I declare that Jesus is the name above every name.

So if I’m going through a sickness or I’m going through financial distress or a problem in relationships, any of these things I just declare the name of Jesus because His name is able to deliver. Are you guys with me? So I’m just going to sing. You’re the name above only.

You are worthy of all praise.

And my heart will sing how great it is. You’re the name above all names. You are worthy of all praise.

And my heart will sing how great it is. I want you to right now think of whatever situation you’re going through right now. And I want you to stretch your hands to the Lord because He’s the God of our breakthrough. And I want you to declare.

You’re the name above all names.

You are worthy of all praise.

And my heart will sing how great it is.

You’re the name above all names. So I have a question.

See the thing is this.

So I’m just going to choose from my direction. I’m so used to preaching with a mic on this side. So I’m going to come closer to John Chittin over here.

So praise God. This is a couple of things I want to. Samuel, are you playing keys for me? Can you do B flat?

I’m just joking.

So one of the things that I find is that many of us are casual when it comes to getting our breakthrough.

We have our circumstances determine whether we get our breakthrough or not.

And we know that Jesus can do miracles, but we often think it’s an exception. We often think the reason for our miracles is that if the Lord wills. Are you with me? So I just want to tell you a couple of stories that I’ve had in my life that have changed my perception of what God can do. So one of the first stories that I want to share today is actually about the year 2000. I’d gotten married and I got married to my husband Rakesh. He’s still my husband.

In the Western world, you have to specify sometimes.

So I got married to Rakesh. And the thing is, for those of you who know our background, John Chittin and mine, we grew up in the Middle East. And having grown up in the Middle East, we grew up quite well to do. We lived in really good houses, really good colonies. My father was an architect in the Middle East. And as we were growing up there, we had a lot of privilege.

And then my father died and we came back. Then I remember when I got married to Rakesh and I went to the Middle East. I thought to myself that I would have the kind of lifestyle that I had gotten used to, like living in the Middle East. And in fact, I didn’t even tell my family the stories of what actually it was. Rakesh, when we got married, he was assistant manager of one of the smallest branches of UAE exchange in Karama Center.

And I love the way my husband explains things and speaks. One of the things he says is this. You ask him, like his mom called him up when he was living alone and says, “What do you eat?” Correct? Like, you know, mothers will ask this, goes, “And that’s why I’m here today.” But Rakesh will answer, “Food.”

And the thing is, it’s a technically correct answer. But absolutely useless information. So, like, with Rakesh, it’s a…

So I had asked him when we’re moving to Dubai, you know, like after we got married, I said, “Where are we going to stay? Is it in an apartment?” Okay.

That’s what I thought. That’s great. Okay. So I turned up at this apartment after we got married and I thought, like, I’ve never shared an apartment in my life.

We were living in one room, okay, of an apartment. It was an apartment. It was technically correct. Okay. But we were sharing it with other people in the bigger bedroom. There was a whole… There’s a family of four there. Okay. In the other bedroom, it was us. And like the bathroom was across the hall and I’d never really, really been in that kind of a situation. And most people, you know, those of you who… those of us who have lived abroad know that the money that you earn there is to live there often. You know, people think that you have more money because you’re earning in pounds or dollars or their rooms or whatever or not. But we were living there and so, like, Rakesh’s salary, he’d get it on the 27th. By 28th, it was finished. Or as in the words of the Arabs, it was “kalaas.” Okay. We just couldn’t make ends meet. We just couldn’t. And it’s not like we spent anything because we hardly even went to the stores.

So Rakesh is a hard worker. He goes to work like he’d worked… One thing about Rakesh is he always worked very hard. And I remember, like, I used to watch him go in the mornings and he got a promotion to another branch and as we got the promotion, it was more of a headache than a blessing because they didn’t increase his salary. So now he has to walk through the Arab sun to this place. So as we were walking… Like, as we were living in this place, like, we didn’t have money. We didn’t have enough to even eat. Rakesh would go in the mornings.

I don’t eat breakfast or tea or coffee. I just wait till he comes in the evening and we used to walk one and a half miles. I tell you this because when I go into places, people often think that I come with a lot of wealth. Everybody often assumes that when I walk into a place that I have never had a financial distress.

When I go into places, people think that because I’m a preacher that I’ve not had any of these issues.

But I’m speaking of a God who has actually allowed me to overcome these issues.

Every time I’ve encountered a problem, I’ve encountered a God who’s the name above that problem. That deserves a better response. Okay, when a preacher says, “Amen,” what do you say? Amen. Okay, I’m going to try it again. Let me try this side, okay? John, I’m going to try this side. Amen. Amen. Now, this side, did you learn that? Amen. Amen. See, they were better. Let’s try this side. Amen. Amen. This side? Amen. Okay, now if I say hallelujah, what do you say? Hallelujah. Oh my gosh, you’re catching on. Hallelujah.

See, and so anyway, so this, so I was, so we were like, we didn’t even have, in the room we had a bed, okay, which is, was a bedroom basically. That’s what you should have. Okay, and we didn’t even have chairs. So if anybody came and visited, like our cousins would come, they’re like, “Ah, Preeti’s in Dubai. Let me go see her.” And I’d be like, “Let’s go meet in a restaurant because there’s no place to sit in my room.” Okay, but they’re like, “No, no, no, we will come to your room and we, they will turn up in my room.” I said, “Sit on the bed.” Okay, and they’re all be sitting and I mean, they’re all living very comfortably, but we didn’t have it. But the thing is, that’s okay. Not your neighbor and say, “That’s okay.” Because your circumstances do not determine who God is. Your circumstances do not determine who God is or what God can do. And I remember in that time, we, my biggest desire really is, was to have a small dining table. Because in our, in our family dynamics, we sit at the dining table. You know, I know in Anno’s house, I’ve never sat in the living room. Okay, like we go straight and sit at the dining table. Anyone have the similar dynamics? So my, like with my mom, I go and I sit either on her bed or I go to the dining room. That’s where we are. So all I wanted was a dining table. And I remember it was Christmas and we honestly had no money. We didn’t even have money to catch a cab to go to, to service. You know, like you go to Christmas service, we didn’t even have the money. So Rakesh said, “I won’t come. The other person has one space in their car, go in their car.” So I went to service. Rakesh went to work. Okay, but I told Rakesh, like I was like, maybe like there’s a, there’s a principle in the Bible and the principle is generosity. When you don’t have love, give love, you’ll receive love. When you don’t have finance, give finance, give what you have. Every time God has always replaced, remember the little kid with the five fish, two loaves? Like that wasn’t enough to feed anybody, was it? It was not enough to feed anybody, but all the time God goes to people who don’t have and says, “Give me what you have.” Correct? He goes to the, he sends the prophet to the widow and says, says, “Give me your oil. Give me, make me a cake.” This is not once, this is twice.

He keeps going to people who don’t have and says, “I’m going to give you an opportunity for generosity.” So that in your opportunity for generosity, that you can get your breakthrough.

So I mean, let me tell you about Benny Hinn. How many of you have heard of Benny Hinn? Do you know Benny Hinn had a heart problem? He had a serious heart arrhythmia. That it was so serious, he often, he was, you listen to his testimony. It was deadly for him. You know how many people he prayed for healing of heart arrhythmia before he got healed?

And I was, I remember watching this like, he was praying for people and I used to think, how come all these people have heart arrhythmia and they’re coming to him for prayer? And they would come to him and he had not publicly said he has this problem. And he was standing there, he prayed and they would get healed. They’d go get a checkup, they come back, they testify of their healing. And if you watch the old Benny Hinn videos, he will stand there and he’ll be crying. I’m like, why is he crying? He should be happy. Why is he crying? Because he hadn’t got his healing. The one day I remember watching this, he was praying for somebody with heart arrhythmia. The person falls down, puk on the floor, together with me. Let me try this side.

This side, puk on the floor, he’s gone. And then Benny Hinn standing there and this guy gets up in the spirit, that’s why the one would go puk on the floor, gets up in the spirit and starts prophesying, saying the Lord has seen your heart and the Lord has seen you pray and the Lord is going to heal you. Benny Hinn goes puk on the floor. Ta-da, he’s gone. Okay. And what? He gets healed. See, most of us are looking at our circumstances and determining where we will be or who we will be or what we will be. See, I remember that start in our lives. We didn’t have money. We couldn’t entertain anybody.

We couldn’t even afford anything. And I remember, I remember it was Christmas and I asked the Lord and I said, Lord, I would like to have a cake.

Never in my life have I ever liked plum cake. My mom would buy plum cake, you know, your grandmother. Okay. She would buy the plum cake and I think she used to buy it because none of us liked it. And she goes, and she’d eat it.

And I’d be like, as if we don’t understand. And these plum cakes. But then in the year 2000, I couldn’t get plum cake. And I’m like, I can’t afford the plum cake. And I said, Lord, together with me, Lord, see, this is how I pray. Okay. You guys pray for big things. I start with plum cake. And I said, Lord, I need cake. Everybody needs cake. Okay. That’s my statement in life. Who needs cake? I do. So I said, Lord, I need cake. I said, I also need a dining table. And the Lord says, why do you need a dining table? I have conversations with God because the Bible says I can’t. And he never stopped talking. So I have conversations. And I said, Lord, I need a dining table. He said, why do you need a dining table? I said, I want to entertain people. And it was Christmas day that day. I was new to Dubai and nobody invited me to their house.

Everybody was having Christmas parties. I didn’t have anywhere to go. Not only that, I didn’t have money to go eat. Rakesh is working because he gets extra to work on Christmas day, you know, because it’s longer hours and all of that. So I’m sitting there and I said, Lord, I just want some cake. There was one family friend that I knew who she cooks really well. I was hoping she’d invite me to her house. You want, you know, you should always, Steve, you should always find that one family friend who cooks really well. That’s advice for life. You know, find that one person who cooks really well. Allow them to marry your brother any, any which way that you keep them in your family, you know, so that you get to get, Anu used to make this, Anu makes excellent tea. Okay. She also makes other things, but in those days, so I let her marry my brother, you know.

Thank you. You’re welcome.

So much sacrifice I’ve made in this life.

So anyway, so, so we’re, I’m sitting there and the Lord says, why do you want the table? I said, I want to entertain your people. I have nothing in my hands. Okay. But I want to give something to your people. Can I tell you my testimony? So I was sitting there in my room on the bed praying because I don’t have a chair. Okay. I’m sitting there and praying and the Lord says, go downstairs. Okay. And I said, okay. So I went down to the flat, went to the sunrise car park. I’m standing at the car park. Guess who’s in the car park? The pastor of the local church. Guess what he has in his hands? A cake. And he’s standing there. I’m looking at the cake and I didn’t look at him. I looked at God and I said, is that cake for me? And he goes, he’s standing there with this cake. He goes, somebody gave me this cake. And in my heart, I’m like, that cake’s for me, my friend. Okay. I didn’t say it out loud because I got wisdom. Okay. So I’m like, and he goes, yeah. And then he goes, gets a wife, the cake to his wife and says, put it in the car. I’m like, my cake’s going in the car.

It should be my cake. So I look at him and I said, hello, hello. Okay. And I went back upstairs. Did I get the cake? No, I didn’t get the cake. You thought I would get the cake. I don’t know. I didn’t get the cake. So I’m sitting in my room and I said, Lord, where my cake at? Okay. Where’s my cake? I want my cake or not because just if anybody comes to my house, I have to give them cake. Right. That’s the Christmas menu. You have to give them cake, right? I don’t have any cake to give. So, and not that I know anybody to come. Now I’m standing there and say, Lord, and the Lord says, it’s not finished. It’s not over yet.

And I stood there in my bedroom and the doorbell rings. Never in that flat has the doorbell ever rang.

I was like, who’s going to open it? It could be them. It could be me. I don’t know anybody. Can anyone turn up Samuel? Anybody? It could have been someone to kidnap me. You know, they would have returned me. Because I’m sister. Okay. They would have returned, but still I went and I opened the door like this. How do you open the door together with me? You open the door like this because I’m just making sure you open it and Carol are the same as you used to before. I opened the door. Who is it? The pastor. Guess what he’s got in his hand? No. Dough cake.

He says, Freaky, I was standing in the car park and somebody else came and gave me a cake and I thought, maybe I should give you one. And I thought, just one.

I said, come on in, my friends. Okay. Where do I invite him to my bedroom? Okay. And I’m standing there in the bedroom and he’s got two cakes. Then he gets another call. The pastor’s in the room with his wife and I was like, Freaky, somebody’s brought another cake. I want to go pick it up. So he goes and he picks, goes down. They go down. And his wife is standing there. She says, you know, we’ve got Christmas church party and stuff like that. Can you help me pack all the gifts? You know, like kids get gifts for Christmas. I don’t know why adults don’t get gifts. Why do you guys get all the gifts? Why is that? Okay. We deserve it. We’ve been working hard. All you guys do is sleep, eat and go to school. Okay. Now we get that’s a different story.

Let’s not go there anyway. Are you still with me? This is Christmas 2000. We’ve got 23 years to go. Okay.

Anyway, so I’m standing there and they said, so she says, can you help me? I said, I’m game. I’ll help anything. I need just need some, but I need some company. I need some cake. That’s all I need. It’s Christmas Eve. Okay. And so she goes, let me go pick up the stuff. So she goes and she leaves the apartment with him. She goes, I want to go get the stuff. And then remember my friend who cooks really well. Steve, you remember her right now. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. She calls up and she goes, Preeti, you know, the party I was cooking for. She goes, they didn’t turn up. I’ve got extra food. I said, praise the Lord.

She, I said, do you feel like bringing it to my apartment flat room? She goes, I feel the urge to bring the food was excellent, but I’m just telling you right now. She says, I feel like bringing it to your room. I’m like, oh my gosh. I feel it too. So now I’m standing there. Now people are coming home, right? Do I have a dining table? No, I have no dining table and Rakesh calls up because maybe I’ve got a break in my office work hours. Come, let’s go. I suddenly got 250 bedrooms.

How much?

So I go downstairs and there’s a secondhand store right across the street, which I’d been to before. But as I walk in, there’s a dining table with four chairs. For how much?

250 bedrooms. It came in just that day. I buy it and I go, he goes, I said, can you deliver it? He says, it’s Christmas. Like we don’t have staff. I said, do you see that apartment over there? He says, yeah. I said, I live there. So now the dining table turns up at my house. Now by the time the pastor’s gone and picked up the other cake. Okay. Now he’s come back. He’s got two in the house. He’s going to pick up the other. How many does he come up with? Another two more. So how many cakes are in my house? Do the maths Rima four. Okay. How many cakes? Four. Suddenly I’ve got a dining table. I’ve got four chairs. I’ve got four cakes. Each people can sit on one chair and eat one cake. Okay. I’ve got four cakes. I’ve got bhathura, curry and rice and everything turning up at my house. Have I done anything in cooking? Nothing. All I do is open the door. Bing dong.

Like cut. That’s it. That’s all I’m doing. Then what happens is somebody calls and asks me, Freethi, do you know where the pastors are? I said, yes, I do. They said, where are they? I said, they’re my car park. So where are they going to be in my flat? Now they turn up to my house. So suddenly I’ve got now another family turning up. Guess what they bring? Cake.

Now I’ve got five cakes coming into my house. So I’ve got five cakes. I’ve got bhathura. I’ve got fish fry. I’ve got biryani. I’ve got it all coming to my house and vada. Please don’t forget the vada. Okay. I’ve got vada coming. And now suddenly everybody’s turned up at my house. At the end of the day, I didn’t even have coffee powder. I didn’t even have milk because I don’t have a fridge in my house. But the Christmas Eve dinner for the church, guess whose house it was at? Mine. You know in the end how many cakes I had, Danny? Take a guess. Take a guess. No, man. I said five already. What did you say? Seven. I had seven cakes.

I had so much cake I gave it to people. Very generous I was with the cakes I didn’t pay for. I said, here, take some cake. You, take some cake. You, take some cake. Be blessed with cake. Why I tell you the story is Jesus is the name above every name. And your circumstances need not determine your situation. Throughout my life, throughout my Christian life, I’ve encountered challenges. In fact, I’m probably going through one of the deepest challenges of my life right now. But God is not determined by the circumstance I go through. God is still God on the throne. Amen. Amen. So what happened here was this. From that point, it increased my faith because I started asking.

Now I don’t know how I got the cake.

It was God. For me, all I said to the Lord is I need a dining table. I need a cake. That’s it. These were the two things. Did He do it? He did.

Most of that cake I gave away generously. Freely I received, freely I gave.

That dining table that I got for 250 theorems, I gave it away. The Lord said, you’ve received, now give. It’s still at one of the friend that was making the bhatura. I gave it to them. It’s still at their house. See, we’re called to be generous in our spirits at all times. And this is not what I wanted to talk about, but this is where I’m going to segue into the scripture.

Turn your Bibles to the Gospel of John chapter 2.

And it says, on the third day, a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there. And also Jesus and His disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to Jesus, they have no more wine. Are you guys with me? So together, Brittany read this. On the third day, a wedding took place at Cana. On the third day, a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there.

And Jesus and His disciples had also been invited to the wedding.

So who was there?

I mean, we just read it, so there’s no wrong answer. Who was there? Jesus’ mother, Jesus and His disciples. Now can I ask you something? If you were to write the Gospel of John, who would you mention first at a wedding? I would mention Jesus. I’d be like, there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and Jesus was there, His disciples were there, and His mom was also there. Am I correct? Isn’t that how we would write it?

Amen? Yes? No? Maybe so? Maybe so? So here, Jesus was there, but Jesus is not the first person mentioned. Have you thought about that?

It says Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus, and then His disciples.

And as I was reading this, the Lord highlighted to me, He said, “Why is Mary mentioned first?”

Why? Because, a couple of things. Because Mary was there, Jesus came to the wedding.

Because Mary was there, they had something supernatural happen. This is the first miracle that Jesus did. He could have started His miracle anywhere. He could have healed the blind, raised the dead. He could have started it at any point, but He starts it at a point at a wedding. And there’s a lot of things we can speak about on this, and I’ve preached on this on different angles all the time, on different ways that the Lord has spoken to me. But recently, the Lord spoke to me, He said, He highlighted this, He says, “Why is Mary mentioned first?” Because she is the catalyst for the miracle. And the Lord started speaking to me and said, “Priti, you being there in a place becomes the catalyst for a miracle. Steve, you being there in a place becomes a catalyst for a miracle. Each one of us being in a place, see, we dismiss that which God has done in our lives.

We think that the miracle is for somebody else.

We think that the miracles are for something big.

Amen. Amen. Amen.

We think that the miracles are for, we need two and a half crores. This was wine at a wedding.

The first miracle Jesus did was a wine, was wine at a wedding. And it was because someone who’s close to Him was there. And I realized that because I’m in certain places, there will be miracles.

Because you’re in certain places, there will be miracles. Because you’re in certain places, there will be miracles.

You and I are the catalyst. Yeah, you too, QT. Because you’re there, there will be miracles.

Because you’re there in a place, there will be miracles.

We’re always dismissing ourselves.

We’re always dismissing that which God has placed in our lives. As a pastor, I often think in a larger context than in an individual context. But one thing the Lord is speaking to me about, He said, the miracles in your life matter.

Revelation 19, 11 says that the testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy. Correct? What is prophecy?

Prophecy is something that has not yet happened. What is testimony? It is something that has already happened. And that we’re speaking and we’re witnessing that which God has done in our lives. So when I start telling you that even that my little problem with a cake God is able to solve. I wanted to go to Bible school in 2007, 2008. We were one income family because we’d moved to London. And we give so much of our income out. It’s not that we have because we sow into ministries and we don’t have a lot.

We manage with what we have.

There’s a bit of sacrifice in our living. But I wanted to go to Bible college. And at that time it was about two and a half lakhs or 2,500 pounds for this Bible college. And we didn’t have this money. But I knew that the Lord had put it into my heart to go and go to this Bible college. I applied for it as I went through the whole process. They asked me, they said, “How are you going to pay for it? Are you going to pay by taking installments? Are you going to pay? How are you going to pay?” And I said, “I know you may hear this all the time.” But I said, “I’m going to trust God to provide, but if He doesn’t.” And you know, like I did this, but if He doesn’t. And I was about to say that and the Lord said, “Shh.” And I said, “But if He doesn’t.” I said, “I’ll be surprised.” And I left it. Because I didn’t want to kind of get into a place where I’m finding an alternative for God to give me my miracle.

And I remember I was finished the interview for the Bible college. I was coming down the stairs actually. And Ruckesh called me and he said, “How did the interview go?” And I said, “It went really well.” And he said, “We need a miracle to have this money because we have to pay it in 48 hours. We didn’t have the money.” And I said, “That’s great. Let’s just pray over the phone.” We prayed over the phone. And as I stepped out of that building, Ruckesh calls again and he said, “Baby, I just got 2,500 pounds into my account from a previous…” Sorry, he got 5,000 pounds into his account from a previous investment.

What I have learned by the Shammam, is that correct? By the Shammam in my life is that God is provider. I haven’t learned that God has little. I’ve understood that God is teaching me to learn how to cultivate my faith to grow. I’m just not talking about finances.

In 2009 or 11 around that time, I was just minding my own business one day and I had what is called a mini stroke.

I don’t share this out loud actually. I’m not told many people.

I had to be rushed to the hospital because my left side was pretty badly affected at that time. I went to the hospital and they said, “You’re a bit young for having these kind of things.” I said, “Yeah, I know.”

Eventually they said, “This is TIA. They’ve given me all this diagnosis.” I went back to my local doctor. That’s how the NHS works in the UK. I went to the local doctor and she told me, she said, “You have TIA, which is mini strokes.” Now the problem with having these stupid strokes, I’ll tell you the reason is they won’t let you drive in the UK after this. Anyone who knows me knows I love my driving. I have to let the licensing agency know that I’ve got TIA. I was like, “No way, devil, are you stealing not only my health, but my ability to drive? No way.” I was so irritated that when she’s telling me that I’ve got TIA and the diagnosis for TIA, I just looked at her and I kept smiling at her together with me.

I just smiled at her like this. I was like, “Woman, bless you, but you’re not telling me what’s happening in my future.

Bless you.”

The more I smiled, the angrier she got.

This Dr. John Chatter, she starts looking at me. This old Indian woman, she went into Indian auntie mode. She looked at me, she goes, “You don’t understand anything. You are very sick.” She just goes on and she starts shouting. She shouts at me for 10 to 15 minutes. I’m just looking at her and the smile is getting wider and wider and wider. I’m like, “Now I’m like this.”

She’s getting so jude, so absolutely crazy. I said, “Can I go now?”

I said, “Yeah.” Then I went back to the house. I walked in with that smile again.

Raki, she’s like, “What happened?” I was like, “She shouted at me.”

Then he calls her up and shouts at her.

Then she gets upset. This is a long story. Then she gets up and she goes, “You don’t understand what’s happening in my life. I’m moving through a terrible time.” Raki wants to give the phone back to me because he doesn’t want to be speaking to this person and hearing her problems.

Anyway, I have to now go to all these doctors. One of the things that I decided was that for me to have a testimony, the doctors have to tell me, “I’m A-OK.” I went through this. They said, “Yeah, you have TIA. You have to start this medicine.” I went to the Holy Spirit and I said, “Holy Spirit, can you give me a key as to how I’ll get this breakthrough?” The Holy Spirit said this. He said, “They will tell you it’s in your imagination.” Now I have scans. I have MRIs. I have everything telling me that this is the problem.

Three months later, I went to the doctors and they said, “This is what they said.” He said, “We can’t find anything. We think your stroke is in your imagination.”

I took my file and said, “Thank you. Thank you very much.”

I walked out of there. “See, what more can you want?” They said, “There’s no history. There’s nothing. They can’t find it.” This testimony I’ve shared, and the reason I’ve shared this is one of the women in our congregation.

She was diagnosed with a tumor in the middle of her brain. This tumor was inaccessible. Each week, the tumor kept growing. She’s got three boys.

They were young at that time.

Her brother is a doctor.

He’s seen these scans. This is tremendous.

This is really bad. This tumor just kept growing, growing, growing. It’s the middle of her brain. How do you access it? They can’t access it. I went to her and I told her this testimony. I said, “Listen, they’re going to tell you that it’s in your imagination. Why? The testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy.” As I went in there and I spoke to her, she said, “Priti, if they say this, it will be a miracle.”

She had been in the hospital for three weeks. The next week, they come back and tell her, “We can’t find the tumor.” The week after that, they dismiss her from the hospital saying, “It’s in your imagination.”

There was nothing wrong in the first place. It’s been now eight to nine years, perfectly healed. See, sometimes you’re going through what you’re going through. Mary was at her wedding and it looked like they’re coming to a time of dishonor because the wine was running out.

It looked like they were going to come to a time of shame.

Saved from a greater shame. Why? Because Mary was there. This is the message I wanted to come and share with you. Because you’re in a situation, there will be miracles there. All you need to do is go ask Jesus. Jesus said this. Jesus said, “Look, what does this have to do with me? It’s not yet my time, but your request can change the scenario.”

I’m just sharing my testimony. By the way, I’ve had CT scans. One of the things I do is I go and check up all the time. If there’s a diagnosis, when I was in my late teens, I got diagnosed with, you know, like metligo, which is like you lose pigmentation. There’s no healing. I’m the one in what million of people that got healed. There’s only one other person I know of who got healed of that. That’s Jeevan, who’s part of our church. The testimony of Jesus Christ is a spirit of prophecy. There is nothing that our God cannot do. Amen.

There is nothing our God can’t do. There is nothing he can’t do. He is the name above every other name. So whether the name is lack, whether the name is a lack of relationships, you know, like,

are you guys okay? Are you? Yeah. So I’m going to share my, so I’m going to share my testimony. When I was growing up, my mom loved John Chittel, still loves him. Then there’s her favorite, Joe, which we don’t disagree with.

My middle brother is the favorite. Then there’s me. Ta-da.

Okay.

I was my father’s favorite. Let me stick to that. Okay. But I didn’t have a great relationship with my mom when I was growing up. You know, more than auntie knows, Anu knows. I didn’t have a great relationship with my mom because imagine having a daughter like me. You’ve met my mom, right? Paavam.

And then having a daughter like me, Ayyo.

She has raised me and Kerala. Paavam. Okay. I had a great relationship, but when I came to the Lord, the scripture says this. The scripture says that when our ways delight God, even our enemies will be at peace with us. So I saw the scripture and I said, Lord, can you give me a relationship with my mom? It would be great. It would be great.

And so I prayed it. I didn’t expect it to happen. About a year or so later, my mother gets saved, born again. And after she gets born again, she starts liking me a little bit. Okay. Then she starts liking me a bit much more.

A few years ago, we’re sitting at our dining table. Remember the dining table. Okay. With my brother, my middle, John Chen wasn’t there. Joe was there. Mummy was there. And I’m sitting there and Joe comes, you know, we’re, we’re in our forties. Okay. Joe comes there, sits on that table. Steve, this is what my brother says. Okay. Not this one, the other one. And he goes, I am Mummy’s favorite. In our forties. Yeah. Okay. In our forties. My mom was sitting in the middle. Joe’s sitting there. I’m sitting there. He goes, I’m Mummy’s favorite.

And the thing is, at that moment, I look at Joe and I smile together with me.

Okay. Together. Look at somebody.

I smile. And the thing is, I look at Joe and I smile. And this moment, John Chen, I don’t know if I told you the story, right? Suddenly Joe has this doubt.

In his mind, he’s not sure he’s the favorite anymore.

And the best part was this. I just sat there and I giggled. And then my mom, you’ve seen my mom, right? She’s sitting there. She’s looking at Joe. She’s looking at me. She’s looking at Joe. And she goes, you know how Mummy’s like.

And the thing is, Joe’s like, oh no. And I realized that which I had prayed more than a decade ago. See, it’s not whether who loves who more, but I realized God answers prayers and he makes even your enemies at peace with you when your ways delight God. And the testimony of Jesus Christ is a spirit of prophecy. So I remember sharing this with one of my friends. She had a terrible relationship with her elder sister.

Her sister was constantly like kicking her to the curb. Not actually kicking her, but you know, but kicking her to the curb. And I remember she said, I don’t think God can heal.

About three months ago, she comes to me and she goes, she goes, preach to you my relationship with my sister because I was acting like her elder sister for a long time. Maybe about a decade and a half. She goes, I don’t really need you anymore because my sister has come back. See, this is my scripture for you today.

On the third day, a wedding took place at Canine Galilee. Jesus’s mother was there. See, Jesus’s mother was there.

It matters to God where you’re at, whether it’s in your workplace, whether it’s in your home, whether it’s in a hospital in your school, whether whichever place you have, there is a potential for breakthrough. There’s a potential for miracles.

The only thing is for us to approach God and ask Him.

As I walked in here, I just felt that I wanted to speak about faith and the increase of faith Faith is a substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen. Have you not seen a miracle?

Then there’s evidence of it already.

I remember Jeevan, who’s my husband’s cousin’s younger brother, was in my, he’d come to the UK to attend my, to attend his brother’s wedding and he was sitting in my living room and he said, “Preechee-Chee, I want to study in the UK and I need a miracle.” But the way he said I need a miracle was with no faith, no hope, no substance, no evidence. And I said, “Stop right there.” I said, what John Chidun said, not by might, not by power, but by his spirit. Do we have the might to turn water into wine? No. If we did, Kerala would be alcoholic by now, 100%. They’d be good about London, eh?

You know? But the thing is, our God has the ability and within a year and a half, that young man, the Lord opened a door for him to come and to study. See, God is always doing miracles.

For me, I’ve never lacked cake ever since that time. A few, was it a couple of months ago, I was sitting in the room, I was sitting in our house, now we have a house by the way, sitting in our house and I said, “I want some cake.” Together with me, cake. What do I want?

I said, and I was absolutely lazy to go out and buy this cake more in empty. I didn’t want to buy it. I said, “I want some cake.” And you know what happened? Someone rang the doorbell and dropped off cake, good cake, not blousy cake, good cake. I remember thinking about it. God is still in the business of doing miracles.

I want you to lay your hands over your own heart. I want you to say, “Because I’m here, there will be supernatural miracles.

Because I’m in my family, there will be supernatural miracles.

Because I’m in my workplace, there will be supernatural miracles.

Because I’m in my schools, because I’m on the road, wherever I am, there will be supernatural miracles. There will be a potential for supernatural miracles.”

I want to just pray for you. Father God, I just surrender every person here, every person who’s hearing my voice.

And Father, I pray Father, Lord, that which is lost will be found, that which they’re seeking after will be found, that which that has been taken will be redeemed and regained in their lives, Father. Father, I pray Father for the families in this place. I pray for healing, wholeness. I pray for blessing.

Now I want you to look at me for a minute.

Mary saw the need in that house, right? Is there a need in your house? Yes? Yes? Yes? So, I want you to now take that need to Jesus in prayer right now. And I’m not going to ask you to pray that it gets solved in six and a half months. I’m going to ask you to pray that the Lord comes into the situation now, okay? So I want you to close your eyes.

I want you to approach Jesus.

Speak about the lack that you’re seeing. Say, “Lord, they need healing. They need miracles,” whatever it is. I want you to speak to Jesus right now.

Look at the Lord Jesus and say, “Lord, I receive your blessing.”

Say, “I receive your blessing. I receive your blessing.” Lord Jesus, I receive your blessing.

I receive your blessing, Jesus. I receive your blessing. I receive your blessing. I receive your blessing. And I want you to see one thing. Most of your faces look like you still haven’t had any cake.

You know when I got that first cake, can you imagine my expression? I want you to think, what is Preeti’s expression, Steve, when she got the cake? What was my expression? You know, when I got the second cake, when I got the third cake. What’s my expression, boy? Huh? And that I?

What’s my expression? When I got the fifth cake. Oh, I got the sixth cake. Can you imagine my level of faith? I didn’t have hands. I didn’t have table space for the seventh cake.

So this is what when we pray, I’m watching your faces. Most of you are saying, I receive Jesus.

I receive your blessing. The joy of the Lord is our strength. Hallelujah. Let your face, let your face show your faith. Can you get that printed here? Let your face, type it, Manet. Type it. Everyone turn to Joel and say, type it. Let your face show your faith.

Hallelujah. Most of our faces are showing a lack of faith. And that’s why the pastor has to say, come, let us join in this thing.

This is how I amitating your accent now.

Yeah.

So this is my message. Because you’re in a place, the Lord Jesus is there. And the potential for miracles is 100% there. My testimony is this. In the last, what, 27, 26 years of Christian walk, God has always turned up. God has always done a miracle. God is always faithful. And in any time that I’ve encountered a problem, when I encountered financial problems, I met Jehovah Jireh. When I encountered peace problems, I met Jehovah Shalom. When I encountered health problems, who did I encounter? Jehovah Rapha. When I encountered problems with my thoughts or anything like that, Jehovah Sikanu. When I felt like I’m overwhelmed, I met the Lord God, my banner. He is the name above every name. So when a name comes at me called lack or disease or sickness or depression, I’ll say his name is above every other name. It is time for the church to stand up in joy and state that which they know is true. Jesus is the name above every other name. And because you are in a place, Jesus is in that place. And that place becomes a place of supernatural activity and your life becomes a life of supernatural.

This is our portion. Hallelujah. In Jesus name. Amen.
