Day 89

‘After these things I heard a great sound of many people in heaven, shouting: “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God! I saw heaven opened. And there was a white horse. He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. ‘ Revelation 19:1,11 MEV

In this chapter, it is to be noted that the marriage of the Lamb precedes the rider on the white horse.

‘His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written, that no one knows but He Himself. ‘ Revelation 19:12 MEV

There is something about a name that I’ve not fully understood. Adam named things, Jesus is the name above all names, and here no one knows that name but He Himself! This requires deeper study and contemplation, which I look forward to with great anticipation.

‘But the beast was captured and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with brimstone. ‘ Revelation 19:20 MEV

‘The remnant were slain with the sword which proceeded out of the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds gorged themselves with their flesh.’ Revelation 19:21 MEV

Ephesians 6:17  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

‘He cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be set free for a little while. I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and the authority to judge was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness of Jesus and for the word of God. They had not worshipped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. ‘ Revelation 20:3-4 MEV

Thus begins the millennial rule of Jesus Christ, our Lord and saviour.

‘Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. ‘ Revelation 20:14 MEV

There are two other characters already there from the previous chapter;  namely the beast and the false prophet.
