Day 79

This is how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 1 John 4:2 MEV

Any variances on this, like the Islamic version, is demonic.

And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16 MEV

God is indeed pure love personified.

Who is it that overcomes the world, but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:5 MEV

This belief gives us the right to ask our Heavenly Father for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who helps us overcome.

If anyone sees his brother commit a sin which does not lead to death, he shall ask, and He shall give him life. This is for those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I do not say that he should pray for it. All wrongdoing is sin, but there is a sin that does not lead to death. 1 John 5:16-17 MEV

If by death, John is taking about the second death, then only one sin leads to that death, and one solution for that sin of death, His name is Jesus, He is the Christ of the true God.

If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, nor greet him. For whoever greets him takes part in his evil deeds. 2 John 1:10-11 MEV

Day 80

TBecause of this, if I come, I will bring up what kinds of works he does: ranting against us with malicious words. Not content with that, he does not accept the brothers, and stops those who want to, and throws them out of the church.         3 John 1:10 MEV

Probably because he doesn’t want to be exposed for the liar that he is.

Just as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the surrounding cities in like manner, gave themselves to immorality and went after different flesh, they serve as an example by suffering the punishment of eternal fire. Jude 1:7 MEV

Going after strange or different flesh because of immorality is given as the reason for the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah.

But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God while you are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. Jude 1:20-21 MEV

A plumb-line.

Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with rejoicing, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. Jude 1:24-25 MEV
