For the love of money is a root of all [kinds of] evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
There is a popular song about money being the root of all evil. It is wrong in that it is not money that is evil, but the love of it.
In this monetary driven world ruled by mammon, the Lord tells us to follow His system. How in the world can anyone choose death over life, and might even take some others with them to death?
