Pause, Recharge, Refresh

Pausepause-recharge-refresh, Recharge, Refresh: Devotions to Energize a Pastor’s Day-To-Day Ministry” is a devotional for pastors by H.B. London. Though I have not read it through, what I have read has blessed me and given me peace. Since I am training you all to be elders in the body of Christ, over a period of a year, I will be sharing this daily with only those I pastor online here. I do not wish to break any copyright laws, so do not share this.

If you miss a post, or would like to read it daily as it is published, please visit http://www.johnkodiyil.com/post/sample-page/pause-recharge-refresh/

I’d like to acknowledge and thank Mrs. Minu Steve for typing out this whole book for me. 1 Samuel 30:24 (NKJV)  For who will heed you in this matter? But as his part is who goes down to the battle, so shall his part be who stays by the supplies; they shall share alike. May her efforts be likewise blessed.

This is a summary of the book from bookdepository.com

Pastors and their families are under a lot of pressure. Pastors appreciate encouragement from others who’ve been in the trenches.

In ministry since 1962, H. B. London understands the needs these leaders encounter in our postmodern culture–on-the-job, in their marriages and with their families. His heart is to encourage pastors and instruct them in the practical pastoral issues they struggle with daily.

Now the countless conference talks, e-mail devotions, and encouraging messages of H. B. London have been expanded and revised to create a timeless series of devotions for pastors. Topics like personal integrity, your family’s call to ministry, and marriage growth are discussed from a caring mentor’s perspective.

The devotional also deals with leadership issues including staff relations, unity with your congregation, counseling families through grief, and many more.
