Worship vs Gathering

John 4:21-24 (NKJV) 21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 “You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 “God [is] Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Hebrews 10:24-25 (NKJV) 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as [is] the manner of some, but exhorting [one another,] and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

What is happening now is that there is a confusion rampant in the Church between the two.

In a way, this curfew sorts this out. We are meant to worship in spirit and truth no matter where we are and/or what we are doing.

What troubles me is when we forsake the gathering of believers. If the true need is understood, then we will not fail to strengthen ourselves and each other in the Lord Jesus.

This will also remedy the mingling of the meaning of corporate and personal worship.
