How many of you have seen a “Deepfake” video lately?

  • You know, those clips where AI makes it look like a celebrity or a politician is saying something they never actually said?
  • They’re getting scary good. You look at it, and your brain says, “That’s real,” but your gut says, “Something is off.”

We live in a world that is obsessed with “filters.”

  • We filter our photos, our thoughts, and even our personalities to fit whatever environment we’re in.
  • But here’s the problem: when everything is filtered, we lose track of what’s authentic.
  • We start feeling like we’re drifting.

Colossians 2:8 NKJV

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

In Kerala, we value education.

  • We are the “most literate state.”
  • We know a lot of facts.
  • But Jesus isn’t talking about information; He’s talking about Revelation.

Imagine you’re driving through the high ranges of Kodaikanal or Ooty in a thick fog during the heavy July rains.

  • You can’t see five feet in front of you.
  • You’re scared of driving off a cliff.
  • But then, you turn on your GPS.
  • The GPS doesn’t make the fog go away, but it tells you the truth of where the road is.

Knowing Jesus is that GPS.

  • The “fog” of social media pressure and academic stress is still there,
  • but the Truth—that you are a child of God,
  • loved not for what you do but for whose you are
  • sets you free from the fear of falling off the cliff.

John 8:32 NKJV

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Now, how do we actually live this out? How do we stop being “kidnapped” and start walking in that freedom? Paul breaks down the “Growth Plan” in Ephesians.

Ephesians 4:11-16 NKJV

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, [12] for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, [13] till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; [14] that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, [15] but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head-Christ- [16] from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

  • The Goal: To reach the “measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”
  • Basically: to look and act like Jesus.
  • The Method: “Every part does its share.”
  • First of all, belong to a Church

John 17:3 NKJV

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

This true God, is your Heavenly Father.

  • Reach out to Him.

2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

Beyond the “Nattukar”

We live in a culture that asks, “What will the neighbors think?”

  • But the Gospel asks, “What did the Creator do?”

Don’t be kidnapped by the “tradition” that says your marks define your soul.

  • Walk in freedom because you know the Truth of the Gospel.

Grow together in the church, because trying to be a Christian alone is like trying to play football against a whole team people by yourself.

Romans 15:13 (New King James Version) “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (Hebrews 13:16)
