Musings and Meditations (M&Ms)
Psalm 109:1-7 NKJV
Do not keep silent, O God of my praise! [2] For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful Have opened against me; They have spoken against me with a lying tongue. [3] They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, And fought against me without a cause. [4] In return for my love they are my accusers, But I give myself to prayer. [5] Thus they have rewarded me evil for good, And hatred for my love. [6] Set a wicked man over him, And let an accuser stand at his right hand. [7] When he is judged, let him be found guilty, And let his prayer become sin.
- Who is the father of lies?
- Who is the accuser?
- What do you do inspite of false accusations?
- When is the judgment that the Psalmist is talking about?
- What makes someone to be found guilty?
- What makes a prayer to the Lord end up being sin?
John 8:44 NKJV
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
Revelation 12:10 NKJV
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
Romans 12:17-21 NKJV
Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. [18] If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. [19] Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. [20] Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.” [21] Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
John 16:8-11 NKJV
And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: [9] of sin, because they do not believe in Me; [10] of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; [11] of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
John 1:29 NKJV
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Romans 14:23 NKJV
But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.
